This picture represents Ancient Rome because the red is all of the land that Rome had taken over.
Legion II
One advantage Rome had was that they had the Mediterranean sea, which made it easy for trading. Another advantage that Rome had was the Tiber River because it gave them fresh water. And the last advantage that Rome had were the two mountain ranges because it protected them. One disadvantage Rome had, was that they had settled in Italy, which is a peninsula, and more enemies could go ashore because it was a peninsula. Another disadvantage was that the Tiber River did not give everyone water, so they had to go to a "universal" fountain to drink from. And the last disadvantage that Rome had was the climate, because it could be hot and dry in unbearable heat, or mild, like in the winter. I think the geography impacted the romans in both negative and positive ways. I think that they had a good setup with the mountains and such, but in areas not so much, like the fact that Italy is a peninsula.
